UNBLOCKING AND CLEANING OF DIESEL PARTICULATE FILTERS (DPF) WITHOUT DISMANTLING

• Novaflush DPF One is usable on heavily contaminated to fully blocked soot filters. Dismantling is unnecessary. It prevents and ends limp mode and restores the optimal performance of the DPF and catalytic converter.
• Always use Novaflush DPF One before Novaflush DPF Two by means of the Novaflush DPF Gun.

Use

Fit the Novaflush DPF Gun according to the processing guideline.

• Fill the reservoir with 750 ml Novaflush DPF One. Connect it to a compressed air line with a maximum pressure of 4 bar (58 PSI).
• Place the vehicle in a well-ventilated area.
• Let the exhaust system cool down to 40°C or lower (hand-warm). Higher temperatures reduce effectiveness.
• Place a collection tray under the exhaust to catch the dripping liquid.
• Remove the pressure sensor at the front of the soot particulate filter.
• Choose the most suitable nozzle for the application and insert it into the opening of the pressure sensor. Spray in the direction of the DPF, towards the rear.
• Empty the entire tank (750 ml) of Novaflush DPF One.
• Let Novaflush DPF One act for 30 minutes.
• Fill the reservoir of the DPF Gun with 750 ml Novaflush DPF Two and empty the entire contents of the tank in the direction of the DPF.
• Fill the reservoir of the DPF Gun with 750 ml clean water and empty the entire contents of the tank in the direction of the DPF.
• Now blow air through the exhaust system for 3 minutes, in the direction of the DPF.
• Fit the pressure sensor and start the vehicle. Let the engine idle for about 20 minutes. Then start a forced regeneration or take a test drive with progressively higher revs. It is normal for foam and/or white smoke to come out of the exhaust during this.

Maintenance Novaflush DPF Gun
Rinse the gun through with 250 ml water after each filter cleaning so that any residue of Novaflush DPF is removed. Store the dried gun in a dry and dust-free environment.

Prevention and maintenance guidelines
The result of the treatment can be maintained by adding Novafuel Powerkleen to the fuel to clean the injection and combustion circuit (stimulating the regeneration of the soot filter). Specifically for the maintenance of the DPF, Novafuel DPF Care is recommended.
