Novatio Metalsol - can 5L

PRIMER FOR TREATING AND PREVENTING RUST

Metalsol is a milk-coloured plastic emulsion that, on contact with steel and under the influence of air humidity, converts the iron oxides into a hard, black metal-organic protective layer against further rust. In addition to being a rust converter, Metalsol is also a protective primer coat for filling and/or overpainting. After curing, Metalsol is water- and solvent-resistant.

Use

• Apply to dry, clean and stable ferrous metals (brush away loose rust).
• Apply a single, pure layer with a sprayer or brush.
• After drying, overpaint without sanding (after 3 hours at 20°C and 60% RH)

Do not put a brush into the can to avoid rust in the can. Use a separate pot and do not pour any residue back into the can.

• Covering capacity: 20 to 30 m² depending on the roughness of the surface.
• Drying time at 20°C and 60% RH: 3 hours.
• Shelf life: 2 years in closed packaging, 12 months in opened packaging. Store dry, cool and dark.
