If you want to mount something in your vehicle, but do not want to attach anything to your windscreen or dashboard, then this is your solution, as long as you have a cup holder. This base supports many existing RAM mounts. Simply slide the top cap over a soft drink can (best filled and unopened) and then place the bottom of the can into your vehicle's cup holder. If your vehicle's cup holder does not hold the can firmly, first slide the can into the supplied can sleeve. The sleeve is a casing with small protruding walls on the outside. The protruding walls are slightly compressed to allow a firm grip in your vehicle's cup holder. This is a base, not a complete mount. An arm and mount are required to complete this mount.
