The RAM-B-179U consists of a 1" diameter ball base, connected to a 2.25" x 0.875" base with 11mm hole, double socket arm and diamond base adapter. This mount is commonly used on motorcycles, attached to the mirror frame, typically found on BMW motorcycles, as well as many handlebar clamp bolts with a washer (base is 5mm thick). The 2.43" x 1.31" diamond base contains two holes 1.912" centre to centre, matches the industry-standard AMPS hole pattern and fits a wide range of RAM Mount and third-party holders. The mount is equipped with the patented RAM system featuring a 1" diameter rubber ball and socket, with adjustment points at both ends of the double socket arm; this allows for virtually infinite adjustability and perfect viewing angles.
