The RAM-B-125U consists of a yoke clamp base, a standard-length double socket arm and an angled extension plate with the universal AMPS hole pattern. The yoke clamp base fits rails from 0.625" up to 1.25" in diameter. The 1" rubber ball sits perpendicular to the face of the mount; when attached to a rail the ball sits parallel to the rail. Originally designed to position your GPS in front of the yoke in your aircraft, the angled extension plate can also be used for many other applications. The mounting part of the plate is 2.5" square, with pre-drilled holes for numerous screw hole patterns, including the universal AMPS hole pattern and all RAM-made cradles. The connecting part protrudes about 2.25" forward, at a 45-degree angle, from the centre of the 1" ball and about 1.5" above the 1" ball (to the bottom of the connecting part of the plate). The mount is fitted with the patented RAM® rubber ball-and-socket system with a 1" diameter ball and adjustment points at both ends of the double socket arm, allowing virtually infinite adjustability and perfect viewing angles.
