The RAM-B-149Z-C1U consists of a galvanised U-bolt base, a standard-size double socket arm and a universal 1/4"-20 thread, centred on a 2.5" diameter plate. The 1/4" long 1/4"-20 male thread in the centre of the 2.5" diameter plate fits the standard female thread on the bottom of most photo and video cameras. This package includes hardware suitable for rails with a diameter from 0.50" to 1.25". The base includes black end caps for the exposed ends of the U-bolt. The supplied composite rail adapter can narrow the rail to a minimum width of 0.5". The holder features the patented RAM® rubber ball-and-socket system with a 1" diameter ball and adjustment points at both ends of the double socket arm, allowing virtually infinite adjustability and perfect viewing angles.
