The RAM-D-254-WD1U consists of a rubber ball with a diameter of 2.25", connected to a plate with a diameter of 2.5" with a total of 7 holes: the industry-standard 4-hole AMPS hole pattern and a 3-hole 120-degree hole pattern. This part can be screwed onto any flat surface or attached to any RAM® mount. The D size ball is compatible with all other RAM® ball-and-socket parts in D size.
