The RAM® tube adapter with AMPS hole pattern (RAP-384BU) features a notch that allows the adapter to sit flush against a tube to help create a mounting location. This solution cannot be mounted to a tube without an additional component to secure to the other half of the tube. This adapter features a 4-hole AMPS pattern to attach to other components, as well as a 2-hole AMPS pattern for flat mounting or to secure a RAM® diamond ball base and thus create a mounting location on a tube.
