What is an AGM semi-traction battery?
An AGM semi-traction battery is a type of battery that delivers a constant current over a prolonged period of time. A semi-traction battery has a slightly lower capacity than an AGM traction battery. You will mainly find them in smaller appliances, such as televisions, electric motors and lighting.
An AGM semi-traction battery has all the advantages of an AGM battery:

How long will your AGM semi traction battery last?
That depends on how you use the device that supplies your battery with energy, and for how long. These factors have a direct impact on your battery capacity (in Ampere per hour or Ah). For example, less power is needed to watch television for fifteen minutes than to switch your electric motor on and off all day long.
Don't forget that your battery capacity should never drop below 20%. An AGM semi-traction battery with a stated capacity of 1,000Ah actually only has 800Ah available. That could be 4 hours at 200A or 2 hours at 400A. In practice, this will be even less than 2 hours, because high current causes significant (heat) losses.

- Do not disconnect your battery too early.
- Preferably avoid unnecessary intermediate charging.
