The fork extension is used to temporarily extend the reach of a forklift (by up to 60%), for example when transporting a long load. The fork extensions slide over the standard forks and are secured at the rear with a pin. The fork extensions are fully welded and not made from pieces of box section material. This makes the construction many times stronger and prevents the fork extension from tilting sideways on the fork.
