WELD-THROUGH, OVERPAINTABLE ALUMINIUM PRIMER

Alu 1000 is a good corrosion-inhibiting coating with extremely good adhesion to metals, such as steel, galvanised steel, aluminium, and to most paints and plastics. On contact with high temperatures, it automatically aluminises. The pure aluminium particles fuse, become one with the metal and protect against rust formation. Through fusion it forms a single unit with the spot weld and the sheet metal. Alu 1000 has good chemical resistance and is perfectly overpaintable with most primer coats. Alu 1000 has elastic properties.

Use

• Apply to a dry and clean surface. If necessary, first clean and degrease with Safety Clean and/or Multifoam.
• If necessary, sand and dust off the surface.
• After releasing the mixing ball, shake well.
• Apply thin layers from approx. 25cm.
• After use, empty the nozzle by spraying with the can inverted.

After drying, it can be degreased with Safety Clean. Overspray and paint residues are easily removed with Kleenspray-S. Apply Alu 1000 as a high-temperature-resistant primer, then paint.

• Composition: high-quality synthetic resin with selected aluminium particles.
• Colour: aluminium.
• Appearance: satin / glossy.
• Fusion: at temperatures around +650°C the aluminium particles fuse and embed themselves in the substrate.
• Recommended layer thickness: depending on the application and/or the substrate, as a weld-through primer 1 flowing layer is sufficient.
• Adhesion to: ferrous and non-ferrous metals, steel, galvanised steel, sanded aluminium, ... also on wood and on most plastics.
• Chemical resistance: resistant to most acids and alkalis; weather-resistant.
