PROTECTION OF METALS BY COLD GALVANISING
Nova Zinc has a unique adhesion thanks to the combination of pure zinc powder (99%) and special resins. Applied to iron and aluminium, it forms a hard yet flexible zinc layer that, through an electrochemical reaction, provides excellent protection against corrosion, even when the protective layer is scratched or worn away. In case of damage, the Nova Zinc layer develops insoluble alkaline products (zinc salts). The damage repairs itself and the surface remains protected against corrosion.
Advantages
Stops rust formation and provides long-lasting protection.
Excellent adhesion on all types of iron and steel.
Can be spot-welded and overpainted.
Use
- Apply to a dry and clean surface. If necessary, first clean and degrease with Safety Clean and/or Multifoam.
- Sand and dust off the surface.
- After releasing the mixing ball, shake the can well.
- Apply in thin layers from approx. 25cm.
- After use, empty the nozzle by spraying with the can inverted.
Technical specifications
- Nova Zinc withstands a salt spray test for 480 hours 5DIN 53.167).
- Nova Zinc exceeds the Preece Test (ASTM des. A 239-41) for hot-dip galvanising requirements.
- Fast-drying and pore-free film.
