2K LOW MDI PU ADHESIVE

PUB-1380 Low MDI PU Construct 2K is a 2-component filling adhesive and repair paste in a side-by-side cartridge. The long mixer time makes it possible to keep working continuously with the same mixer tip. After 60 minutes there is sufficient curing to further process or transport.

PUB-1380 is perfectly suited as corner bonding for aluminium and PVC window constructions. By extension, it can be used as a shrink-free filling adhesive on most metals, plastics and types of wood.

PUB-1380 cures to an impact-resistant plastic (Shore D 80) with high bonding strengths and a very high chemical resistance.

Use

Surface preparation

• Make the surface dust-free.
• Sand smooth materials (grit 120).
• Degrease with Safety Clean and/or Multifoam and let dry.

Cartridge preparation

• Remove the sealing cap from the cartridge and place the cartridge in the gun. Pump until both components come out of the cartridge evenly.
• Place the mixer tip on the cartridge. Spray out the first 2 cm of product onto a piece of cardboard, do not use.

Use

• Apply evenly to or into the materials to be bonded or filled. The ideal adhesive thickness for optimal strength is 0,5-1 mm.
• Filling can be done in a single layer up to +/- 10 mm. After the first curing (30 minutes) a new layer can be applied.
• After an interruption of +/- 12 minutes: fit a new mixer tip.
• Clean spilled adhesive with Safety Clean and/or Nova Wipes.
• Always carry out an adhesion test when used on difficult-to-bond or unknown materials.

Storage

• Leave the mixer tip fitted until the next use. In this way PUB-1380 remains usable for 4-6 months.
• When reusing: remove the old mixer tip, clean the outlet openings and fit a new mixer tip.

Tips:

• Higher temperatures mean faster curing. Warm the parts and/or the cartridge up to a maximum of 50°C.
• Use Q-Fix 120 for strong anchoring in drill holes.
