Seal & Bond MS40 Trans is a powerful transparent sealing compound based on hybrid MS polymers. Seal & Bond MS40 Trans is an ideal sealing compound with good bonding properties on most building materials. Seal & Bond MS40 Trans has good mould- and bacteria-resistance. Seal & Bond MS40 Trans does not bleed through on natural stone and can be applied to a wet substrate.

Use

• Apply to a clean substrate, cleaning with Safety Clean and/or Multifoam if necessary.
• Remove uncured residues with Safety Clean.

May discolour due to UV light, paints, solvents, ... . Due to the wide variety of different plastics and compositions, as well as materials that are sensitive to stress corrosion, preliminary tests are recommended. First test adhesion on PP, PE, PTFE or substrates containing these raw materials.

Due to the variety of varnishes and paints on the market, testing is recommended. The use of products based on alkyd resins can slow down the drying process.

• On PP, PE, PTFE and bitumen, adhesion is not assured.
• Elongation at break - DIN 53504: > 350%.
• Colour fastness: colour change may occur due to external conditions.
• Overpaintable: OK with most solvents and water-based paints.
• Processing temperature: from +5°C to +40°C.
• Chemical resistance:
  • good: water, seawater, aliphatic solvents, oils, greases, diluted organic acids, alkalis.
  • moderate: esters, ketones, aromatics.
  • poor: concentrated acids, chlorinated solvents, swimming pool water.
• Compressive resistance (ISO 11432): 0.84 N/mm².
• Shelf life: 12 months in closed, original packaging, store dry and cool.
