TYRE REPAIR STRING
The ideal solution for damaged steel-belted tyres. Each string is composed of several cords, soaked in a mixture of natural and synthetic rubbers for long-lasting resistance.

Repairs up to 6 mm on tread and shoulders.
Use
- Determine the location of the damage. Remove the damaging object and note the angle at which the object entered. If the angle of the damage is difficult to determine, insert only the needle into the hole to establish the angle.
- Thread the string through the eye of the needle until the string sits in the middle of the needle.
- Insert the string into the hole. Apply constant pressure until the handle of the needle holder touches the tyre. Note: if a small hole needs to be repaired, it is recommended to first insert the needle to clear the hole.
- Now pull the needle handle straight out. Cut off excess material. Bring the tyre back up to pressure. The tyre is ready for use.
Advice:
- Remove the tyre from the rim to assess the damage.
- Clean the inside of the tyre for at least 5 cm around the damage, visible through the inserted string. Use RDG-730 Rubber Degrease for this.
- Treat the string and 5 cm around it with TRC-1800 Tire Repair Cement.
- Refit the tyre onto the rim.
