The RAM-B-231CHU consists of a 1" rubber ball designed to sit perpendicular to the mounting rail. The stainless steel U-bolt fits rails with a diameter of 0.5" to 1.25". The base also includes black end caps that are placed over the exposed ends of the U-bolt.
