Product information "RAM® Glare Shield clamp mount"
The RAM-B-177-C consists of a glare shield clamp base, short double socket arm and diamond base adapter. This holder is designed for mounting on the edge of a flat surface up to 5/8" thick. Popular mounting edges are the window edge on the side of a car or the glare shield in an aircraft. The base has two composite bolts that, when tightened, clamp the base to the edge surface. The 2.43" x 1.31" diamond base contains two holes at 1.912" centre-to-centre, matches the industry-standard AMPS hole pattern and fits a wide range of RAM Mount and third-party holders. The holder is equipped with the patented RAM system with 1" diameter rubber ball and socket, with adjustment points at both ends of the double socket arm; this allows for near-infinite adjustability and perfect viewing angles.
