The RAM® Temp-Right™ dock heating module for GDS® Tough-Dock™ tablet docks (RAM-DOCK-HEATER1-BU) is a self-regulating heating module available as an expansion accessory when your tablet docking system is mounted in extremely cold environments. When installed on the dock and connected to a power source, the integrated thermistor detects when the temperature drops below 32 degrees Fahrenheit, automatically activates the heater and pushes hot air through the back of the tablet via a 12-VDC axial cooling fan. The heater brings the device to safe operating temperatures and then switches off automatically. In addition, a built-in safety plunger prevents the heater from activating when the device is not docked. Once the device is docked, it presses the safety plunger that activates the Temp-Right™ functionalities. This expansion accessory is built to keep devices usable, specifically in cold environments for transport & logistics and cold storage warehouse applications.
