The RAP-401-202U consists of the large Tough-Claw™ base, double socket arm and round base adapter. The RAM Tough-Claw™ is the perfect mounting base for quick and easy installation and removal without tools on round, square and irregularly shaped rails and bars. The Tough-Claw™ can be clamped onto rails of 1" - 2.2" outer diameter. The round base adapter features the industry-standard universal AMPS hole pattern, which connects to a wide variety of RAM holders and third-party holders. The mount is designed with a patented RAM rubber ball-and-socket system with a diameter of 1.5" that has adjustment points at both ends of the double socket arm; this allows virtually infinite adjustment and perfect viewing angles.
