Product information "RAM® Track Ball™ with side-rail base"
The Track Ball side-rail base consists of a t-bolt, ratchet-tooth-and-groove construction and 1.5" rubber ball. With a turn of the knob you can quickly lock, adjust or remove the base on your existing rail system. The ratchet-tooth-and-groove construction allows you to slide and move the mount along the rail; it can also rotate 360 degrees, parallel to the rail. The patented rubber ball design creates friction; this stabilises the entire mount, along with damping.
